Ronald A. Cole, Q.C. P.Eng. F.E.C.


Ron is an experienced lawyer and Professional Engineer. He holds a Bachelor's Degree in Engineering from the Technical University of Nova Scotia and worked for several years in the steel and oil industries prior to earning a Law Degree from Dalhousie University in 1978.


After being admitted to the Newfoundland and Labrador Bar Ron worked with the Department of Justice for 9 years before opening Cole Law Offices in 1987.


Ron has a wealth of experience in many areas of law, including real estate, civil litigation, personal injury and construction law. He was an Adjunct Professor in Memorial University's Faculty of Engineering for 25 years, and presently teaches a portion of PEGNL's Professional Practice and Ethics Course.


In 2009, Ron was named a Fellow of Engineers Canada for his exceptional contributions to the engineering profession. In 2014, Ron was appointed Queen's Counsel by the Lieutenant Governor of Newfoundland and Labrador.
